Time as meaning

Audiovisual installation about memory and nostalgic attachment. Navigating through a video corpus (AI generated) it is sequenced as a montage and sets up a view on how we can formalise film structure with language feedback. We lock an AI in a loop through a clock system, generating a discourse about the perceived imagery.

Presented as an installation, the experience is a system talking to itself. We focus on practical futures that can benefit by reorganising video material and derive speech artificially. The AI system can choose to stay in a specific sequence as long as it takes. Both composition and production was done by Luís Arandas and Marco Jerónimo, exhibition at VAF (2022).
